In January of 2003, while having lunch with my boss, the owner of an IT consulting company in Northern Virginia, a question was asked that would literally change my life. “If money wasn’t an issue, what would you be doing right now?” I didn’t hesitate when I replied, “I’d move to Jordan to relearn Arabic (since I had forgotten my mother tongue while growing up in the States) and I would set up a wood-shop as a hobby.”
Two years later, in 2005, that is exactly what I did; however, it wasn’t until the end of 2016 that I started the MadeinAmman.com website.
MiA serves a dual purpose. Jordanians are wonderful people and I’ve had the good pleasure of working with a few master craftsmen, skilled laborers and professionals. This website is dedicated to posting Do-It-Yourself projects as well as promoting individuals/businesses who produce excellent quality work in Amman, Jordan.
